Agriculture is more and more automated by means of robots, cobots, autonomous vehicles and pick & place systems. All these systems need rotary and linear encoders that should be small, light-weight and that should operate reliably 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in an environment that is dirty and highly humid. Condensation, splashing, rain and sprayed agrochemicals should not affect the encoder-operation.
These operating conditions match very well to the POSICoder features, leading to a multitude of agro robotics applications in which POSICoder's inductive encoder chips are used.

Which encoder chip is most suited for application in agricultural robots?
The PO1020 inductive encoder chip with a wide temperature profile up to 125°C, because of the heat generated in robot joints that are operated all day long in open air or in a greenhouse.
