Inductive Encoder Chips

Wide Temp: -40 to 125°C Speed up to 4.5 m/s at Resolution 1 µm A/B Frequency 1.3 MHz

High Speed: -20 to 85°C Speed up to 9 m/s at Resolution 1 µm A/B Frequency 2 MHz
POSICoder's inductive encoder chips are available with two different profiles: Wide Temperature and High Speed. Except for the temperature range and the maximum speed, these encoder chips have the same performance, the same housing, use the same scales and codewheels and are sold for the same price. So you can select the one that best fits your needs or switch between the two versions depending on varying temperature- and speed-requirements.
In order to get started, the best choice is to order an Evaluation Kit, which includes two inductive encoders on a holder with a cable, five encoder chips, two scales, two discs, an evaluation board and software. It allows you to evaluate different resolution- and speed-settings, compare and linearize the POSICoder encoder chip against a reference encoder, operate the encoder chip in closed-loop-control in your application, troubleshoot in case a problem would occur and program the encoder chip for standalone operation or during series production.
